Orthodontic TADs

Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) are placed in your upper and/or lower jaw for a limited amount of time to help you and your orthodontist with tooth movements.

Your orthodontist will determine if you need a consultation for placement of TADs to help facilitate your orthodontic treatment.

TADs are also known as mini-implants, screws, or mini-screws. Placement is relatively straightforward and can be performed with the use of local anesthesia or IV sedation.

Following the procedure, minimal to no recovery will be necessary. Our doctors will discuss more information regarding this treatment option during your consultation.
