Rob Taglione, DDS, MD

dr_taglioneDr. Rob Taglione was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario, one of the premier educational institutions of Canada. Dr. Taglione then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Northwestern University in Chicago. While there he graduated with honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Following dental school, Dr. Taglione completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Louisiana State University Medical Center. He then accomplished a six year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program with St. Joseph Mercy and the University of Detroit Mercy. During the program Dr. Taglione earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Wayne State University Medical School in Michigan. His residency included six months of dedicated anesthesia training in both adult and pediatric patients.  Through his years in specialty preparation, he received extensive training in orthognathic surgery, dental implants, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, as well as facial trauma and dentoalveolar surgery.

Dr. Taglione is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Association and the American Medical Association. He also belongs to Florida’s professional medical and dental societies.  Dr. Taglione serves on staff at Florida Hospital in Tampa and Wesley Chapel where he remains on call for facial trauma and other oral and maxillofacial surgery problems.

New Tampa Oral & Facial Surgery was established by Dr. Taglione in 2007. He thought Wesley Chapel would be the ideal location to open up his own practice. Since then he has served his community where he lives with his wife and three children. His interests include travel and sports. He enjoys golfing and playing hockey.
